2021 Chrysler Pacifica Redesign, Hybrid, Colors, and Specs. 2021 Chrysler Pacifica should be another addition to the crossovers’ class, according to Fiat-Chrysler group and recently passed away CEO Sergio Marchionne. The reason obviously changes in customers’ demands, since the crossovers class became much bigger and much better sold than the minivan one.
As a brand, Chrysler didn’t have too many successful models in recent history. One of the exceptions is this versatile minivan. Introduce a few years ago, it offers a perfect balance between functionality, comfort, and economy. Latest reports suggest that we are about to see some updates for the next year. Most likely, it will be a smaller update, while a mid-cycle refresh won’t come so soon, considering that things are going a little bit slower in this segment. This could mean things like more standard features, as well as a few new details in terms of styling. Other than that, the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica should continue in a familiar way. Expect to see it sometime in the second half of next year.
2021 Chrysler Pacifica Engine
The manufacturer has not said much about 2021 Chrysler Pacifica. Even though the buyers used on powerful 3.6-liter V6 that Pacifica offered by now, it is more likely that the manufacturer will drop that version for this model. It is actually expected that new Pacifica will get a plug-in hybrid PHEV engine under the hood. Thanks to that it will be closer to Mitsubishi crossovers, like Mitsubishi Outlander. It would be a smart move to offer a stronger and more efficient engine than Outlander, but that is not confirmed.
The base trim level organization will probably remain the same. We will see the same trim levels in the offer, though each version should receive few novelties in terms of standard equipment. In the current model, the base L trim already comes with lots of standard equipment. You can count on a 7-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, six-speaker audio, smartphone integration, Bluetooth, USB etc. It also offers plenty of safety features, including a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring etc.
The next one is called LX and it adds things like alloy wheels, power-adjustable front seats, steering wheel mounted controls, automatic headlights etc. Rest of the trim levels gradually add more and more standard equipment. The lineup ends with the Limited trim, which includes even things like ventilated seats, premium Nappa leather, hands-free power liftgate etc.
2021 Chrysler Pacifica should be significantly changed, so the shape and design of the car become closer to the main purpose of the car, but that change should not change the recognizable design of the car. It includes flat roof and trunk door so the car remains the familiar cubic shape, especially in the rear end. The front end, on the other hand, should be softener and short, with redesigned lights and a simple V shape of the grille. Fans will recognize similarities with Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey again.
The manufacturer has not said much about the cabin inside of 2021 Chrysler Pacifica except the fact that it will be larger and offers more space for the load. As we said, Pacifica should offer three rows of the seats, with more space between the seats and larger cargo space.
In terms of base design characteristics, this minivan definitely won’t feature more important changes. We are about to see a familiar, pretty common MPV shape, which definitely can’t vary that much, no matter how creative are designers of certain companies. At the front, you can notice elements of Chrysler’s new design language and the upcoming update could bring some minor tweaks in terms of new details on the front fascial and similar things. Rest of the vehicle will definitely remain the same. Of course, expect to see things like new color options, wheels designs etc.
2021 Chrysler Pacifica Release Date and Price
According to all we know by now, 2021 Chrysler Pacifica should be larger and longer than before and should offer larger three-row cabin with extra cargo space. That presumes changes in the design of the chassis and dimension of it, but nothing has been confirmed by the manufacturer. The new car will be on the market at beginning of 2019, so buyers will be pleased with the new fresh information. The price remains the same, $27,000 for the base model, which is almost on the same line with competitors.
